Like you say, the changes have been phenominal. I think, mostly, they have done it well (architecturally speaking).

Garden doing great, just need to clear a bit pile of rubbish from the middle and I can then take some more photos. Trip to the dump coming up this week!Frostbite and Sunburnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03117969670714999548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2646833261151005498.post-17966438529408290632009-09-09T10:17:08.868-07:002009-09-09T10:17:08.868-07:00Congrats, Ann!

When I was a kid, living in Calgary seeing the cement plant meant that Banff (and the various candy stores) was getting closer. Obviously the mountains are a much more obviously clue but kids are weird.

And Canmore... again when I was a kid, it was very, very different. It was just a smattering of dumpy houses, mobile homes and a few greasy spoons. When I returned to Calgary after 20 years, the changes in Canmore surprised me more than anything in Calgary. It's a completely different place now, although you can still see the remnants of it's prior 'weird mountain town'-ness amongst the million dollar homes.

Glad to hear you had a nice day and night out!

How's the garden doing?ms toast burnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01814575117201965403noreply@blogger.com
