Great views from a friend's deck on a summer evening.
Lush green landscape of the Alberta foothills, and a dot of a bird in the sky if you look (really!) closely.
Oh, to have a powerful zoom lens right now.
And a mid-week shower quickly clears, leaving stripey colours in it's wake.
Have a wonderful SkyWatch Friday.
And it's a long weekend here in Alberta. Yay!
Beautiful shots and love the rainbow best. Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteI couldn’t resist dropping by when I saw that pretty rainbow in the sky. The cloud perfectly situated alongside added a little drama to the scene. :)
ReplyDeleteLove rainbows :) Your header picture is amazing :D

Love the brilliant blue sky and the rainbow!
ReplyDeleteHi there - I like the rainbow - and the first shot in the post before has a real painterly feel to it.
ReplyDeleteSplendid.

These are great pictures and I see the bird!
ReplyDeleteFunny story. My fiance and I went to Alberta/Saskatchewan two years ago. I had never been out of B.C., least of all the prairies. While driving through Saskatchewan I started to cry because I missed the mountains. I did! The sky was beautiful in Alberta and Saskatchewan but it was so flat!
We are now planning a trip to Drumheller so we can go to the Rosebud theatre. Last time I was in Drumheller I fell off a Hoodoo.
Birdie - I hear you about the prairies. Luckily, I live right on the edge of the Rockies so I don't suffer from flat-land syndrome too much! LOL. Have a wonderful time on your trip to Drumheller - now that is a weird landscape - and no falling off hoodoos this time!
