Mooning around

I just know that this week's SkyWatch Friday is going to feature some stunning shots of the "SuperMoon" taken from various points around the globe.  Go have a look on the link - you won't regret it.

We had a partially cloudy evening so although we knew there was a huge ball of brightness out there, we couldn't really see it that well.
Here are my efforts.
Have a wonderful week.

  1. My intrepid photographer was up in Fort McMurray with totally cloudy skies the night of the big moon. I was home with my good camera broken, and only my little camera, so I got some snapshots but nothing as good as yours. I like it with the clouds!

  2. There have been lots of moon shots and I have to admit that I rather like the ones with clouds! This are terrific!! Ours didn't come up until sometime after dark and it was blood red, but I wasn't able to get a decent shot, so I'm really enjoying others captures! Have a great weekend!

  11. Wonderfully mysterious. Much better than it would be without the clouds.
