Reds, blues and blacks

Beautiful spring skies this week.
And the red-winged blackbirds have been having lots of noisy parties by the riverside. Treating it like a spa day.

  3. The clouds are wonderful. And we seem to have an awful lot more red wing blackbirds around this spring.

  6. That last image is a real cracker - well done.

Not to mention the black-birds (which, of course, I just did!)

  8. All we get here are gangs of squirrels. And yes - I mean "gangs" in the nefarious Daily Mail sense of the word.

  9. Nice photos on the rwblackbirds. I did not realize they were so gregarious--my experience with them is mainly around cattails when they are defending their nestsite.
