Kimberley Skies

My family are currently spending a week near Kimberley in south eastern British Columbia.  We've been here a few times before, and the scenery in this part of the province is truly gorgeous - and, I swear, the sky is always blue.
Yesterday we hit the tourist trail and visited Fort Steele, a small Heritage Park
and I was instantly transported into an episode of
Little House on the Prairie!
The location for Fort Steele is stunning - it sits in the Kootenay River valley just to the east of Kimberley and Cranbrook and is completely surrounded by the hills and mountains of the East Kootenays, Purcell Provincial Park and Top of the World Provincial Park
In every direction, the horizon is dramatic.
And the sky was always blue.
I am linking to SkyWatch Friday and to Scenic Sunday this week - have a wonderful week yourselves, and may your skies be just as blue!
