Our World Tuesday - Fattening up

I know it's officially wintery when the
Bohemian Waxwings come to visit.
but I love these little yellow-tipped birds.
They basically gorge themselves silly on the plump red berries of the mountain ash
outside my front door.
They will fly south soon.
They've been stalking the neighbourhood for a few days now.
And they are getting fatter by the minute!

  1. I'm so glad we don't have many mountain ash berries this year. I'd love to see the Waxwings, but our dog eats the berries that fall off the tree.
I had to look up Bohemian and Cedar Waxwings. I guess we had Bohemians, although I thought they were Cedar Waxwings, last year. Now I know. Your photos are SO much clearer than ours were. Thanks!
